How to get a tee time at St Andrews Old Course

There are multiple ways to get a tee time at St Andrews Old Course. You must have flexibility with your schedule or you must plan way ahead of time. There are three types of tee times for St Andrews Old Course:
Guaranteed St Andrews Old Course Tee Time - This is typically arranged about 6-12 months ahead of time. This must be accompanied with a 5 night stay along with additional courses at St Andrews. (4 golfer minimum)
Ballot for St Andrews Old Course Tee Time- The ballot system allows you to enter your name into the system before 2pm, two days before you wish to play. (2 golfer minimum)
Daily singles ballot - The daily singles ballot is designed for single golfers, you enter the queuing system the day before. (No minimum for single golfers only).

Alternate ways for a guaranteed St Andrews Old Course Tee Time
An alternate way would be through a suite package from the Old Course Hotel. World Golf Concierge can provide details for suite packages from the Old Course Hotel. There is a minimum of four golfers for the suite packages. There is limited availablilty and are typically allocated about a year ahead.
What if I am unable to get a tee time at St Andrews Old Course
If you forgo St Andrews Old Course but still want to visit the birthplace of golf, there are plenty of options in Scotland for golf. With other courses there are no minimum nights and a custom package can be created to fit any budget.
